Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities: Should have hand’s on experience in understanding, implementing business rules and logic through VBA, MS SQL, SSIS combination. Complete hand’s coding experience with VBA Visual Basic for MS Office and MSBI (SQL, SSIS). Create solutions/applications for capturing user data/unstructured datasets using Visual Basic forms, MS SQL, C#. Deliver data integration solution/packages using SSIS (required) /Informatica. Generate automated MIs, User Developed Applications and Data Visualisation/Designing using Power BI. Lead and assist in solution requirements with customers | clients | senior stakeholders . Build data quality controls & checks. Provide Technical coaching/guidance Analysts. Proactively engage stakeholder on a daily basis to discuss progress of solution build/development. Keep a focussed approach towards customers | clients | stakeholders experience, value addition and build efficiencies. Carry out extensive Testing, Bug fixing, UAT along with the customers | clients | stakeholders. Write technical documents, user manuals and maximise code/component reusability. Deliver solutions/applications using Agile methodology using Jira/Confluence. Might have people management responsibilities. General Responsibilities: Develop BI skills within the team through knowledge sharing sessions, articles, etc. Adherence to organisations Risk & Controls requirements. Participate in various initiatives/forums/groups and contribute effectively from idea creation to proto-type development. Qualification: Preferably should have Technical/Science Graduation degree with specialization in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline. BI certifications would be an add on. Experience: At least 6 to 9 years of relevant hand’s on experience in development and maintenance of application/solution using VBA, MS SQL, SSIS. Required Competence / Knowledge / Skills (Mandatory): At least 4 to 5 years of expert knowledge & experience in Visual Basic for Application (MS Office) development skills. Should have worked on creating advanced user forms and their connection to the database, automate various MI/Reports. At least 4 to 5 years of expert knowledge & experience in MS SQL (Create and Manipulate database) and SSIS. Ability to grasp steps/workflows in business and implement these logics in SQL, SSIS and VBA. Lead Management, Sales domain understanding and implementation of complex logic using SQL, SSIS. Data visualisation using Power BI. Excellent Stakeholder Management skills. Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming . Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Analytical & Logical skills - Gets to the heart of problems. Strong communication, presentation and offshore coordination experience/skills. Good to have Competence / Knowledge / Skills (Desired): Big Data & Visualisation experience (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark framework. JavaScript visualisation libraries, D3.js, Angular.js, HTML, CSS. PowerShell scripting, .NET technologies, SharePoint development. Office 365 applications. Knowledge and experience in BFSI/Insurance domain. Knowledge and exposure to Regulatory processes like Information Security, Data Protection, etc.). Onshore/Client site working experience.
