Responsibilities: Establish the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technological development. Directs the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth. Consistently evaluates the technical efficiency and makes changes as necessary. Identifies competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of a company. Decide the tech stack of the company keeping in mind the scalability of product in the next 5 years. Focus on innovation, emerging technologies and make recommendations on the strategic use of technology for accelerating business results. Mentor and lead operational excellence, quality, scalability and security initiatives across the teams, and the entire purview of the enterprise products group. Overall responsible for the entire engineering teams success and ensuring execution of goals per company level roadmap. Build, manage and mentor a team of world-class engineering managers, software developers, machine learning scientists, quality assurance, etc. Skills: Excellent understanding of SDLC, PDLC & OOP. Strong hold on RoR Excellent understanding and hands on experience with AWS server and its services like SES, RDS, etc. Excellent understanding of Relational and NoSql databases like MongoDB, Postgresql, etc. Hands on experience with on-page SEO implementation. Good understanding of analytical tools like Mixpanel, GA, Amplitude, etc. Good understanding of machine learning technologies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upwardly to top management and downward to a wide range of audiences, especially tech team. Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Deep understanding of how products work, know every step of the funnel. You’ll be expected to delve deep into datasets, build dashboards and accurately measure experiments. Ability to provide deliverables within specified deadline with a quality bar. Excellent team orientation and communication skills. Experience: 7+ years of experience in development playing various roles. 4+ years of experience in developing in ruby on rails. Member/Leader of a tech team in a high growth start up. Must have led a team of at least 7 people across front end, backend and devops. Must have worked on building distributed, high available customer facing applications that have a rapid development cycle.
